>>1144861I know there is a lot of misinformation but one of the reasons I believe Panther Caps may be more dangerous is because even though as you said they have lower muscarine by having more muscimol I guess it'll necessarily have also more Ibotenic acid which is its precursor chemical and Ibotenic acid along with muscarine is considered one of the toxic substances of both of these species.
My logic for not trusting Panthers being safer is that I am not sure whether just by having lower muscarine concentration it does compensate by the higher concentration of Ibotenic Acid that it has. I haven't analyzed them chemically or anything, that's just heuristics but I'd like to know if possible if I'm wrong.
So far I've only smoked some dried panther cap powder, and a very small dose that didn't cause much noticeable effect. This is the guy that piqued my interest on these mushrooms and I first took advice from on how to prepare them:

>>1144864It is a Death Cap. I can't believe how many I've seen in the last few days. I'd expect that living in a coastal mountainous zone I'd see many more Muscarias but that's the only kind of Amanita I've found here.
People sometimes kick them because they know what they are. They also did the same with some of the Panther Caps I ended picking up in the high inland mountains.
