So, I have a serious groundhog problem here. I got some .22lr ammo and was able to shoot one groundhog. I've mostly seen them way up in my large mulberry tree eating the ripe berries. I can't shoot them there since the backstop isn't safe at all. I bought a conibear trap and it arrived. 1 hour after setting the trap over a hole under the fence skirt I caught a groundhog.
Holy crap these things are super powerful. Setting it a second time was much easier since the springs had finally been used. It feels like it could snap a person's wrist, never mind what kind of mush it'd make of your fingers. Playing with flame thrower is safer than setting one of these things.
