>>1464352Tie what works for you. Not everyone can tie good double uni knots. I use about 1ft 1/2 to 2ft leader and change it when it gets too short. I also use double uni knots from 300yrds of 65lb braid to 200yrds of 60lb mono and I've brought that through guides to catch a lot of big sharks, giant rays, bullreds, jacks. I kayak baits about 400 yards out from the beach. I just point my rod when I bring the knot through the guides. I also re-tie my knots after they've been stressed. And when my mono gets rough from rubbing sandbars I change it out. Sometimes I'll flip my braid when I do. My double uni knots are solid.
