Alaska for sure, but you need a float plane to get to any of it. And western states like Montana, Colorado, California simply have nowhere near the access to, and diversity of, lakes and ponds that NY does. There are reasons people still build homes like pic related on some of the centerpiece lakes in NY like Lake Placid, Lake George, Champlain, etc.
