The most surprising however was an eastern grey squirrel who fell out of a tree and hit the trail right in front of me with loud FWOP. He got up and staggered over to the tree and started climbing. About two and half feet up he started trailing a line of pink yarn behind him. Pic related, it's mfw tfw I relized his intestines had come out and gotten snagged on the bark and he was gutting himself trying to get away from me. He made it back to the top of the tree but he left a foot long piece behind about four feet off the ground. I doubt he survived the night.
