>>189163>Fällkniven S1Swebro here. It's not that it's a bad knife, but it's too expensive and too fancy for what you really need.
I guess it's the ol' "just buy a Mora", but I actually have a better recommendation.
Buy an Ahti. They're basically Mora-style scandi stick tangs, but fancier, with nicer blades and not much more expensive.
From the top:
Norwegian Tröndelag knife (expensive showpiece with silver)
Ahti Juhla (Fancy finnish style ~98 usd / 650 sek)
Ahti Tikka (Woodworking knife ~35 usd / 230 sek)
Ahti Kaira (Hunting knife
~71 usd / 470 kr)
Ahti Korpi (Woods knife ~55 usd / 360 kr)
KJ Eriksson Mora (From my military service, well worn)
KJ Eriksson Mora (My grandfather's Mora, notable because the spine is rounded from all the hammer blows it's gotten - stick tangs are much more durable than people think)
I bought the Ahti's from
Lamnia.fi. The brand offers so many handle and blade variations you should be able to find something that suits you perfectly. I personally love the oval handle of the Juhla, but the Korpi is the best all rounded one for general use. If you feel you need a guard, the Kaira is great, but be warned the handle is for large hands.
I'd also like to point out the sheaths, because they're very nicely made in leather, with different carrying styles and they all (uncommonly for leather sheaths) have drainage holes at the bottom.
Lycka till och kom ihåg att det viktigaste är att hitta en kniv du inte drar dig för att använda!
