Howdy,
I'm out in Zone 9, and it's already time to start working on the Spring garden. My mission this year: tomatoes. I'm in Phoenix - tomatoes are a pain. I *envy* the people that can't keep bugs off their tomatoes, because at least they have tomatoes. I'm coming prepared this season.
I've harvested a 15W 8000K full spectrum light from an aquarium; my understanding is that I can raise seedlings on it, provided they are VERY CLOSE to the bulb. I've got hybrid grape varieties (apparently smaller = better in dry heat). I've got a huge stock of eggshells and a source of fertilizer. I have several soda bottles to use as tiny greenhouses until the danger of frost is over.
Is there anything I'm missing?
