>>276707if you have the tension set right you shouldn't slip into the middle. everyone has a preference though, so you'll have to expereiment a bit till it works for you. generally speaking letting it hang loose makes it terribly uncomfortable to sleep in straight but perfect to sleep in diagonal (which allows to lie flat almost like on a couch).
you could also employ a sagl ine which will allow you to get the perfect setup each and every time. i personally don't use a sag line though, just got used to how to set it up after years of camping.
