Walden is not a bad book, if fact the reason why its thought of so highly is the fact that it stems from what is called apriori perception integrated into aesthetics and "funneled" through the human nature. That is what Thoreau tried to do, he even outlined the social contract in the process, while i would be far to agree with him, doing that, and then talking about strawberries and not loosing note is no short of a brilliant mind! And the best part is, it is written so simply, that anyone can read it. I have nothing short of respect for the name and his work. Even though i do not agree with him, which is an ok thing in itself.
