There’s nothing wrong with questioning why you’re carrying a piece of kit, if there’s something better, and if there’s something that may be more useful for that 5.0 ounces.
Perhaps something like pic related would actually be more useful for the vast majority of people since it’s always razor sharp and would cut anything rope sized or smaller. Unfortunately, I don’t think the blades are stainless so I bet it’d rust pretty quick.
