I have had the best luck freshwater fishing throwing finesse worms and crawfish-looking jigs up under trees and stuff my whole life. I'd suggest trying that. Also, Rapala original floaters are really easy to fish with and catch a good amount of bass. You can also just try drowning worms, I have caught my PB small and largemouth on worms kek
