I've considered this exact thing myself anon, theres something very satisfying about a self contained little adventure vehicle. Things that need some serious consideration:
Safety
> first aid, life jackets, map/chart, radio, signaling
Legality
>boat license, does it need to be registered, length lighting and motor requirements or restrictions, who's land are you landing on? Public beach have camping restrictions? Private property? Etc
Comfort
>cooler for food and drinks, is it insulated against the cold water, comfy seating to drive from and so on
Now a lot of this depends on where you plan on doing this. I live in a port city and would be hesitant to cruise through major shipping lanes with a tiny ass boat. Out on the lake by the cottage you share with like ten people? Huck Finn it up my man.
What's your budget like? Looked at any boats yet? What bodies of water you thinking about?
