I have a lot of standard items everyone has, but I spread two guns and ammo across two backpacks. Both of us carry at least a little ammo and a magazine for the other person should one of us lose a pack.
I also add the following:
>chem lights - just in case. They're light, last 6 to 8 hours and are great for marking or pulling bugs off of you.>Two way radios and batteries>wind up radio/light combo with weather band>basic meds (ibuprofen, aspirin, calcium carbonate) and antibiotics >Emergency dental kit (I would off myself if I broke a tooth with no way to get it fixed) http://www.cabelas.com/product/Hunting/Survival-Navigation/First-Aid-Water-Purification|/pc/104791680/c/104774580/sc/104324580/Dental-Medic8482-Kit/944748.uts>Bug spray, bug spray, bug sprayLiving in hurricane central, a bug out bag is a necessity. It's actually recommended by my local news stations and emergency preparedness guidelines issued by the state.
I pack my packs as if i'll be carrying them. I pack slightly different if we can get out via car.
pic isn't mine.
