I have had it for a long time and was untreated early, my chronic symptoms have gotten far worse the last few years especially neurological, going to become an hero from it eventually. I lived in the northeast where it was very common as a kid, and got a lot of ticks on my over the years. Used to not be a problem but started having flare ups of the infection 6-7 years ago, and have had a few bad ones. The second to last one left me with permanent nerve damage resulting in nystagmus, and the last one seriously impaired arm movement and feeling, like my arm and hand are permanently asleep and tingling now. Every time I post about it I wonder how long until the big sleep, medical help just results in huge bills making my life even worse, and little help.
