If you plan on 20 mile days, canned food isn’t the best option. If you’ve never been hiking and spend most of your time jerking off to anime and playing video games (ie, the 4Chan demographic), the hike will be more difficult.
A can of beans weighs over a pound and contains under 400 calories. The Skurka recipes that Anon linked to are around 6oz and over 650 calories. They also taste better than a can of beans.
