I double up sleeping pads, an inflatable insulated klymit (R 4.4) on top of a zlite (R 2.6) for a total R = 7.0. I think this makes a huge difference, because when i've tried using the kylmit by itself I'll feel cold after a couple hours. I use a 0F/-17C sleeping bag so I don't think your sleeping bag is lacking here.
For clothes I double up socks, and put a disposable handwarmer between the sock layers
>>1694547Wear a scarf, and tuck a handwarmer in the scarf close to your neck. This will help keep your blood warm.
The zippo handwarmers are excellent for this, tried them out last trip and they made a huge difference, since you no longer need to keep moving to generate heat around camp.
