Instructions for dyeing an 80/20 flecktarn parka 90% black:
materials:
>80% cotton/20% polyester parka (read the label)>one whole jar of 0.75 oz procion mx jet black>two cups of salt>half a cup of arm and hammer washing powder (sodium carbonate)>one 5 gal bucket>some kind of stirring rod you don't care aboutinstructions:
>loosen up all the elastics/zippers/buttons on your parka>fill bucket with 3 gal hot tap water>throw in one cup of salt>fling entire 0.75 oz jar of procion mx in>put parka in bucket>throw another cup of salt in>stir that shit for 15 minutes with your stirring rod>throw in half a cup of sodium carbonate>stir that shit until you get bored, like 30m-1h>leave it sit for a few hours and come back>parka will seem like 100% jet black>keep washing it out, the excess will bleed out and it will become 90%>after handwashing throw it in a washing machine, excess should be completely bled out after a low duty cycle>waterproof with half a can of Atsko water-guard
