Im doing the coast to coast path in Northern England with a buddy and we will be camping for the majority.

Any tips on traveling light for longer trips? I still have plenty of time to train and test out setups on some overnight trips prior to the big one so any suggestions are helpful.
I considered a hammock and tarp instead of the bivvy tent but the terrain is mainly highlands and moors.
