At least I caught enough shiners to go catfishing. They are "aging" now and will be ready for this evening. I tied on a micro plug I made and there must have been 25 shiners nailing it at once. It was crazy. Unfortunately, I need to add a second hook to the lures' stomachs for the baitfish to hit. The shiners became pretty lure shy after I pulled a few out.
