>>1072263>A flake tobacco should be mildWell this was fresh out of vacuum so I guess it's a bit harsher at first, but yes it is "mild" relative to a cigar, more of a light cigarette flavour.
>a mix of sweet and hay-like aroma and flavorUnsmoked it has a fermented hay (horse faeces and ettan-snus) flavour. Which is very unlike fermented tobaccos like cigars and and chew which share that raisin, honey, and jungle floor deliciousness that usually separates fermented tobaccos from fresh ones like snus and cigarettes (and for some reason the pipe tasted more like fresh/unfermented tobaccos than fermented ones). Really expected it to be more like a cigar like romeo y julieta or cohiba. When smoked, the mild horse poop flavour is killed away by the dry cardboard smoke that is the trademark of a 4am newport cig butt that's been sitting in a pack for four months if you smoke it for too long. Terrible experience really.
>>1072268It's a cheap ass missouri meerschaum no filter atm but at least its got raw interior. I did crush the flake and smoke it hard. I'll try again much softer but really my question is is there any pipe tobacco that properly smells like a good fermented leaf? Like a cigar or fresh chew? Or do they all smell/taste like unfermented (cigarette/snus) tobacco?
