>>601600I think a space blanket is a great addition to any survival kit, especially given its weight, size, and mulitple uses. I carry 3 in my long term survival kit. I've never been a fan of the Altoids survival kits, they just seem too small to be practical. I'd get something a little bigger like a Condor Sidekick pouch as seen in my photo. It came with 2 6inch MOLLE Straps and Im sure it wouldn't be hard to rig up a shoulder strap if you wanted to. Unless your going for something that fits in your pocket, im just not crazy about the Altoids tin.
