The vegetables from my garden save me a couple hundred dollars every year in groceries. The meat from the animals I raise, even after counting their fodder, also saves me several hundred dollars each year. And it's healthier; no animals raised on shitty diets, no antibiotics, no steroids, no pesticides, no GMO's, no fertilizers, none of that shit. All natural. It tastes better too.
If need be, during a disaster such as an economic collapse (like the one in Argentina), civil war (like the one in Yugoslavia, and which we seem to be gearing up toward now, along political and racial lines), etc. when money is worthless, food is scarce, and everyone is struggling to get by, I'll still be well fed, while you'll be sucking dick in an alley for a can of SPAM.
