>>1470572>>being able to open carry in WalmartI realize that guns, Wal-Mart and bragging on anonymous forums probably form the foundation of your onanistic existence but in all honesty, the open carry laws here (USA) actually do vary from state to state (pic related) and even among local municipalities. Also despite your claim, there does exist “significant restrictions” other than “full auto or sawed off”. Eight states, and a number of local governments, ban or regulate magazines that they have legally defined as high-capacity. Seven states and the a District of Columbia have also enacted bans on firearms that they define as assault weapons.
While Wal-Mart’s policy is to generally allow open carry of handguns where allowed by law, this does vary from store to store and depending on location, you may be asked to a) produce your permit if required in your jurisdiction b) take your firearm back to your vehicle if you wish to continue shopping or c) leave the store. If other customers are being alarmed and complain to management, you will almost certainly be asked to remove your firearm to your vehicle. Long guns are also technically allowed but in practice, you will be asked to return your firearm to your car and there are numerous instances where the police have also been summoned to question your intentions. Wal-Mart’s carry policy does not reflect that of most retail establishments, many stores do not allow open carry on their premises and some do not even allow concealed carry with a permit. Private property rights alway supersede your “right” to carry a firearm.
