Other than that I avoid milsurp like the plague even though I love the aesthetics. Heavy, often one-size (aka no size), usually stupid awkward designs, takes forever to dry, fairly expensive compared to second hand civvie stuff
Military shit is designed by people who don’t go /out/ for grunts that routinely eat crayons and fall in lakes (aka designed for the lowest common denominator), often designed to be manufactured as cheaply as possible or never ever replaced even after the hell of multiple war zones (just to clarify, “bombproof” is a meme as you will never have your backpack ran over by a tank, nor will you drag wounded troops with their 80lb packs by their straps), nor will you need oversized shit designed to wear bodyarmour underneath.
There’s a reason nearly all spec-ops and private military supplement or swap their issued /out/ gear and clothes with superior personal stuff from the civilian market (which is 100x as bigger and has infinite more R&D experience and budget)
Apart from cool LARP shit from Scandinavia and some other European countries, wool backed Bergens are cash
