I went hiking with some 70 year old dude who does like 3 thru hikes a year, he's an order of magnitude more fit than me. But for the same hike he had like 3 puffy jackets and puffy boots and a scarf and a hat and 3 shell gloves etc etc etc... while I only had fleece, puffy, shell.
He obviously was colder than me but... So what? He also handles the cold better than me this fucker is gonna try and thru hike all the high peaks in my state. I couldn't do that.
