>>869877I need your help /out/
i came back home from university after 3 months and i found 3 of my 4 peach trees infested with bark beetles (pic related but there is still tree sap), 2 of my cherry trees also with those fucking beetles and a lot more, but the rest of the damages is manageable.
My trees are all 40+ years old so i guess they basically reached the end of their life but it still sucks.
My question are:
1) Burning down the trees on their spot is enough to get rid of them or they live even in the roots?
2) Do you know if there is any biologic countermeasure to those insects? The only things i found searching online are that they come when the plant is already stressed (i.e. water scarcity, age. etc) and when you have them you are basically fucked.
Is there any plant or flower that keeps them away?
3) Some website says they attack even grape vines? Can you confirm?
