>>2365943I am personally a big fan of spoons. Namely sinking spoons. A small one will catch creek bass all day long, the amount of time after the lure goes in the water until you start to reel it determines the depth that the lure is at. I like to take the treble hooks off of my spoons and put a nice single hook on and let that spoon go all the way to the bottom and then reel it up through the water column as I retrieve it. I've caught all kinds of smallmouth like that.
