>>502714I let mine go near-dry, but not "dry". Some plants need moister or dryer soil. Some that are prone to fungi root problems need to go dry once a week to help prevent that. Salad greens I never let go dry since they seems to be more affected by lack of water in the soil. For instance chickweed hates dry conditions, it loves spring rains and cool weather.
>>502723Never more than 1/4" or half a centimeter. I don't remember if they need to have light to germinate properly or not. But, warmth is key. They can take a long time to germinate most times. Some people soak them in an acid solution (coke cola) for 20-30 seconds, rinse them with water then plant. Many seeds benefit from this as it helps remove a protective coating and allows water and oxygen into the seed to help it germinate faster.
Just don't let them cook in their seed container if it is covered. Allow a bit of ventilation. Or they may mold over.
>>502661>Anyone know any websites to order seeds? Specifically Canadahttps://www.google.ca/#q=canada+nursery+seedshttp://www.gardenersweb.ca/Make sure when you are doing google searches that you are on the right google for your search. Like in Canada use
google.ca while in France you use
google.fr You can google "google countryname" to find the correct address for that country, if one exists. Like "google Japan" will give you
google.co.jp for Japanese-based site results (pic related).
