>>957108Brings back memories. Biological old fag here. Irish Setters were the first decent pair of boots I owned. Bought them in 1985, and I thought they were the shit. Used almost a whole tube of Sno-Seal to make them halfway waterproof.
There was nothing high tech about them. If they are still made with the same high quality leather and craftsmanship, then they are great hunting boots for the price (double what they cost in 85). I prolly never put more than 15 miles on them on any given weekend, but they were super-comfy. Literally wore the soles off of them. The leather was still good when I retired them, save a few thousand briar scratches.
Don't think they would have been great dedicated hikers though.
