Try treating two pieces, one with boiled and one with cold-pressed. leave it overnight and then cut them and see which penetrated the wood better. I know which.
If you want to tell people they're wrong you best have an explanation as to why.
Which of the two types have the smallest molecules? Boiled or cold-pressed. Logic would dictate that the smaller the molecule the greater the penetration when talking oils and wood.
