I want you all to know that I do some leather working.
Generally I use the white leather working sinew that they sell.
You see regular thread is too thin and cuts the leather. Recently I ran out of this stuff and the nearest place that sells it is over an hour away and was closed for the day.
You can probably guess what I did next?
I pulled the strands out of some 550 cord and used it instead. The stuff is actually stronger and works better and still looks white and pristine. Very handsome saddle stitching.
