That's the grip we teach the Afghans to use as the foregrip is ergonomically trash for modern shooting and instead of a typical AK handguard it only has a hot-as-hell heat shield. If I used the foregrip as originally intended, I'd have to blade my stance a lot more than I'd like to, and if I used the foregrip as a handstop I'd get second or third degree burns.
