Put 40lb braid on it too so I figure I could haul most of the stuff I catch up the side of the pier. Only problem is it doesn't handle super heavy weight the best and isn't long enough for those giant casts like a surf rod.
tl;dr: use your heaviest freshwater combo and maybe just put some 30lb-40lb braid on there.

I brought my lil bro out for the first time like last summer. He caught on real quick and ended up getting this little largemouth while I got skunked. He was into it for a minute but has been too busy lately to go fishing much lately. At least he knows how to do everything himself now.
