Back then I didn't have much in terms of gear. The whole friend group borrowed the one friend's tent depending on who was going, most of the time we just slept under the stars. Fished with plastic bottles.
We'd buy beers and drink them on the road, then we cut away the top and boiled water in the cans.
Good times. Nowadays I'm pretty well-kitted out, have a pack for every occasion and any weather condition, but it's neat to remember where I started out. Thanks for taking me down memory lane anon.
