Dries WAY quicker, actually doesnt smell bad after sweating in it (so one shirt can last you the whole time. Legit did 4 days/30 miles in one hiking shirt and my sensitive-nosed GF even commented that it smelled fine on the last day). good warmth:weight ratio. warms even when wet. good brands are also comfy(I have a Kuhl, arcteryx, and smartwool Hiking Ts. The Kuhl and Arc shirts have a polyester second layer on the shoulders to reduce wear from your pack)
