They weigh less than my wallet and allow for full freedom of movement as if I'm wearing shorts. They're also water resistant and extremely breathable, and they're stretchy enough to fit around a pair of boots. light and breathable enough to wear them instead of shorts in the heat of summer, which is great if you're traveling through town and need to look normal (they look exactly like a normal pair of jeans)
