This has been my daily basher at work (steel work, some welding and grinding, hence the face damage) for at least 13 years. 2 years into my second battery which was simple to replace, and gains time to be about 2 minutes fast every 6-8 months.
I also use it as my outdoors watch fishing, mountain climbing, camping, dirt biking.
I have this huge square black g which which I bought for the sole purpose of being fucking huge, it's solar powered, and radio enabled, but that doesn't really work where I live in Oz anyway.
If and when this one shits itself, I'll get another tide watch, but the solar type. Apparently you get 20 years out of a battery instead of 10, and who knows if I'll ever make use of the radio frequency.
My only advice after having a black and a white face is, the black faces look good in pictures on the websites that sell them, but are hard to read at a glance. So even though I love the look, I'll be getting a white face again on the next tide watch.
