Generator caught fire and burned up all of the amps and speakers and the stage. Saw owner crying beside it. Hand hin a beer. Point at campsite. Anon we got food, beer, and friends. Will be a good time. You go over there and hang out a bit. Have a few beers or smoke a fatty. I know it sucks but I've got a HUGE surprise for you in a few hours. So don't get to fucked up. Get to work in the car and on the phones. Spread word all i can. Call bros in cities 2 hours away. Call up carshow bros. They call up other show bros and so on.
In under 4 hours we had raised enough donations to bring a half loaded fuel tanker for the night and had a row of 31 vehicles with sound systems daisy chained and electrobros helped cone adapters together for equipment. Had groups. 2 cars and some massive ass concert speaker that survived the blaze for main mike. A couple for the other mics. Not sure on the rest but had 2 electric guitars and a plug in acoustic guitar to play between sets. Some supertrucker called in a skateboard (big flat deck semi trailer about neck high off the ground) for a stage. We shined headligts with cars on jack stands a ways back for stage lights.
Dude cried again. So happy. Social media is explode. Someone sets up GoFundMe with the story and pics. Get enough scratch dude built an even better stage, got better gear, got the fucked up road into there graveled. Had just enough left over to make next year festival free. So fucking packed that year people were kind enough to take some campers home and cram more cars in to camp. Some absolute madman got drunk and had someone go get his bulldozer. He spends 4 hours leveling more ground. He push all the trees, mostly cedar, into a pile for 5 story bonfire. Best party ever.
