Even at Zion, Yosemite, Glacier, etc. you can easily get away from the crowds by actually hiking, whenever anyone whines about them on this board it's pretty obvious the poster just did the exact same thing as every other fat tourist there, there's really no excuse. I agree with a few other posters ITT though, if you want a no parking lot, tougher to access National Park definitely go to North Cascades, you have to hike to get anywhere and hardly anyone is out there.
