>>1808858>There's a lot here to take in.no actually, there really isn't. here's how I learned to fish...
Step 1 if you don't already know, learn how to tie a basic fishing knot and set up a basic bait rig with a bobber and splitshot sinker. this is how you want to start off because a worm is guaranteed to catch you a fish 90% of the time which is what you want to happen in order to build some confidence and enjoyment out of the whole ordeal.
Step 2 buy some basic lures, I suggest buying a couple Rooster Tail spinners (1/16th oz), black/silver is my favorite. I would also suggest getting some jighead hooks and rigging them with creature plastics, tube baits work phenomenal. go for natural colors like green or black. These lures will catch you fish if you stay persistent and give it some time.
Step 3, watch youtube videos of people fishing to see how they cast and retrieve fish. don't watch the dumbfuck celebrity fishing channels like Jon B, that shit is for retards
Step 4 if all else fails, ask the locals wherever you go fishing what they use and then go buy it at the nearest bait/tackle shop, I've caught my biggest fish by doing this in areas where I have no idea what im doing
