Meh, fuck this game. It is basically twitch arcade shooter when compared to real life survival. I mean shit, once you get the rifle, some shells, find the trapper's cabin, and a couple other thing, you are basically set for life, if it were real. But, no, not in this game. An elk won't give you much meat at all. You also can't preserve it and it loses its edibility as time goes on, rather quickly actually. IRL one deer would have you set for food for a long long time.
I just don't get it. Living isn't difficult, even in a snowed in place without any electric. But, this game is setup so you can't do anything of use hardly, so that you must die eventually. Like IRL, I've used the same axe and same axe handle for over 20 years. Yet, in the game, you can use it up completely in like 1-3 weeks. You think maybe it is the character's fault for being inexperienced, but isn't the person a bush pilot?
