Memes aside, do you at least have communal dedicated fireplaces? In my rural part of Germany we do. Also when I did conscription, we'd always do (secured) fires in the middle of forests even, or at least use Esbit cookers (in case of high forest fire vulnerable periods).
Plus I got a bit of property we've been doing fires on for 15+ years, never burned shit down, even during droughts. All it takes is a bit of common sense, like confining it to a brick-surrounded place, adequate distance to trees, not letting it get too massive, checking the weather forecast for storms, and when you're done, bury it with a good amount of soil
