>>483542>noise of the bike is probably going to scare them awayYou know, I hear that a lot, but in my experience the opposite is true. I see WAY more wildlife on the moto (and to a lesser extent, on the sled, because >winter) than I ever did when I was into hiking or riding horses.
In the summer when I'm riding in the evenings a few times a week, I see bears about once a month. It's rare I go more than 2-3 rides without seeing an owl, skunk, elk, porcupine, or fox. Almost every ride I see bats, deer, and hawks.
This was about two weeks ago. Buddy got stuck in the trees, >a wild grouse appears! Wandered around us while we got unstuck'd, then followed us for about 1/4-mi as we picked our way through the trees. Wasn't till we pulled a climb up a hill that we lost birdfriend.
I'll see what wildlife I can find, and if I'm fast enough to get the camera out and set up. (might throw my P&S in my pack too.)
Also, I have an ultrawide (12-24 f4) that'll be going along. That's a fun lens.
