Looking for some help with this. I planted an Asian pear tree in my little planter here in southern California. It gets sun through most the day. Dug a big hole and backfilled with a soil reccomended to me by the nursery I got the tree from. The surrounding soil is rather heavy in clay.
It was just a stick when I planted it so the growth was awesome to see, even made a few flowers within a month or so.
Since then it has significantly stopped growing and all the leaves got this brown black edge. I don't know if I am dealing with water logged clay around the roots or if I am underwatering now.
Anyone seen this or know what I can do to figure out my problem? I really want to save him and keep it alive and healthy but I don't know what to do at this point.
Please let me know if there is a more appropriate place to get help on this.
