I am very jelly of you burgers as I ve had lion fish and its delicious. The main invasive species here in the Aegean seas is the poisonous lagokephalus (a fugu fish variant from the Indian Ocean) that has gradually been infesting our sea from the Suez canal. That along with huge populations of lesser weaver fish and morrey eels make bottom fishing sometimes a real shit fest.
Are lionfishes caught with techniques like vertical jigging or plastics or are they only properly harvested using bait or what I've seen in most YouTube vids by spear?
