>>1146956This is what I originally thought/did. I bought an Osprey 65 and it's still my main pack (48 nights/500 miles logged on it) until next month when my new pack comes in. I used it on a 10 day trip this summer and still didn't use the full 65 liters. I consistently really only use around 35-40, which is why I'm getting a smaller, lighter pack now. Unless you're planning on doing a whole lot of extended winter camping somewhere really cold, I don't think you'll ever need more than a 65.
