I haven't seen any "Private Property" signs out there, although it's not real easy to get to... road in is overgrown, easy on a dirt bike but pretty much impossible on 4 wheels, and far enough in that most people aren't going to hike it.

Generally it's as dangerous as you make it. Push your limits so you know where they are, but do it safely. Pay attention to what's going on around you (situational awareness). Armor/gear goes a long ways.
