Why all the spring hate?
It's the first season of the year where everything comes to life, everything is renewed, things are just starting to warm up so that you can leave your windows open but it's not too hot to turn the ac on. You get to hear the birds again! Everywhere you look, you see flowers! Flowers that have been lying dormant all winter and waiting to break through the soil again to be bathed in sunshine.The grass grows and everything is new and fresh. Trees explode with colors of pastel pinks, whites, yellows, and green. Farmers and gardeners can start working on their planting. Fresh cut grass smell is in the air. Girls wear long flowy dresses in shades of pink and orange and cyan. Everyone is outside either getting in shape for summer or just enjoying the break from cold winter air. Rain washes over everything and breathes new life into plants and animals alike. And of course you get to camp, finally! Without having to wear 5 layers of clothes!
Of course the beauty of snow is breathtaking, but by the end of winter I'm wishing for the sound of the birds singing happily in the trees.
