I'm wearing Merrils here. I like them because I go out all the time and they are about $100 on sale. When they come apart, usually 2 or 3 years, you get another pair and enjoy the pillowy soft insoldes. I only get Merrils, Keens, Sorrels because they replaceable and I like the feel of new boots. People with leather or expensive boots "These were my grandfathers wifes boyfriends boots" these people always wear 5 pairs of socks.
