I was out hiking the other day and found some big ass pines (I think eastern white but the branches are a bit different. It had to be 70-80 ft at least) that were super easy to climb up. Unfortunately, I don't have any type of safety harness to keep me from falling and I was worried about the climb down, so I didn't go up too far. Still, it was so peaceful sitting up there and I NEED to go back. I want to go higher.
Anyone climb trees recreationally and have any advice? Should I find a place to teach me this or is it something I can learn to safely figure out on my own? We don't have mountains or cliffs where I'm from so I never got into rock climbing.
